Marine Corps Coordinating Council

Established during 1991, as the Marine Corps Coordinating Council of Louisville, Inc., with the limited mission of providing support of Marine Corps recruiting efforts through publicity and appropriate incentive programs, a need was subsequently identified during 2007 to restructure, so as to expand the outreach while promoting a fully integrated and unified presence of the Marine Corps throughout Kentucky.

Montford Point Marine ASSOC

The National Montford Point Marine Association, Inc., is a nonprofit Veterans Service Organization initially established in 1965. Our mission is to perpetuate the legacy of the first African Americans who entered the United States Marine Corps from the period of 1942 to 1949, and trained at the segregated training facility, Montford Point Camp, New River, North Carolina.

National Museum of the Marine Corps

The National Museum of the Marine Corps is a lasting tribute to the commitment, accomplishments, and sacrifices of U.S. Marines. Situated on a 135-acre site adjacent to Marine Corps Base Quantico, Virginia, and under the command of Marine Corps University, the Museum’s soaring design evokes the images of the flag raisers of Iwo Jima and beckons visitors to this 240,000-square-foot structure. World-class interpretive exhibits with innovative technology and unique artifacts surround visitors and immerse them in the sights and sounds of Marines in action.

Veterans Memorial Park of Kentucky

Veterans Memorial Park of Kentucky is located on over 33,000 sq. feet in an educational complex that includes a high school, middle school, and two elementary schools. The setting of the Park is in the Theodore Klein Historical Tree Museum. Trees are identified for Park visitors. Also, additional flowering trees have planted.
